DWU volleyball opens GPAC play with four-set win

Tigers improve to 10-1 ahead of three straight home matches

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Dakota Wesleyan dropped the first set, but came back to pick up a four-set road win over Briar Cliff to open Great Plains Athletic Conference play on Saturday. Set scores were 22-25, 25-19, 25-13, 25-23.

Ady Dwight paced the Tigers (10-1, 1-0 GPAC) with 21 kills and a hitting percentage of .405, as Mariah Gloe added 13 kills and 14 digs. Madeline Else had 29 assists.

Briar Cliff (5-7, 0-3 GPAC) was led by Chole Johnson, who had 11 kills.

DWU opens a three-match homestand at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, against Northwestern.
