The Dakota Wesleyan University baseball team split a Great Plains Athletic Conference doubleheader on Saturday at Cadwell Park in Mitchell.

DWU fell to the Bulldogs 6-0 in the first game, but rallied for a 6-5 in the second game of the contest.

In Game One, Dillon Stadlman took the loss, allowing three runs on five hits with three strikeouts in three innings pitched. The Tigers only managed three hits in the loss.

In Game Two, Reed Harter hit the game-winning single in the eighth inning and finished the game 3-for-5 with two RBIs, while Tyler Waddle went 3-for-4.

On the mound, Brody Kunzmann picked up the win in relief of Steven Sagasty.

ADVERTISEMENT

DWU (17-29, 12-16) clinched a spot in the GPAC tournament, but the Tigers' seed is yet to be determined.
