DWU pulls out five-set win at home

The Dakota Wesleyan University volleyball team added its second five-set victory of the week Saturday, defeating the College of Saint Mary 3-2 in a Great Plains Athletic Conference clash at the Christen Athletic Center.

Set scores were 26-28, 25-20, 23-25, 25-20 and 15-11 in favor of the Tigers.

Three different Tigers recorded double-digit kills, led by senior Lauren Tadlock, who recorded 20 kills and 16 digs. Mitchell's Dana Misiaszek tallied 13 kills, while Katie Vetch added 11.

Senior setter Michelle Van Epps led the offensive attack with 53 digs, while Taylor Spence chipped in 30 digs.

DWU (12-5, 1-3 GPAC) hosts Morningside for a conference contest at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Corn Palace.
