DWU promotes Hoek to Associate AD

Dakota Wesleyan University director of golf Tom Hoek has been promoted to Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations, the school announced Tuesday.

He has spent the last two years as the head coach of the men’s and women’s golf teams at DWU and he will continue to serve in that role in addition to his new duties that include supervision of personnel, game management and operations, budget review and ensuring compliance and eligibility requirements are met with the NAIA and Great Plains Athletic Conference.

Hoek is a native of De Smet and has previously held roles as the director of the De Smet Basketball Skills Academy, De Smet High School Acceleration Program and Lakeview Junior Golf Clinic, along with being the DWU Winter Golf clinician.
