DWU picked 10th in GPAC poll

Dakota Wesleyan University was picked No. 10 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference preseason volleyball coaches' poll. The Tigers received 19 points in the poll.

Dakota Wesleyan University was picked No. 10 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference preseason volleyball coaches' poll. The Tigers received 19 points in the poll.

Hastings College tallied 91 points and was picked No. 1 in the preseason poll. The Broncos garnered four of 11 first-place votes. Midland, which was picked second with 90 points, also received four first-place votes.

Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team in the preseason poll.

DWU finished 11-20 overall and 2-14 in the GPAC last season. The Tigers will open the season on Saturday, Aug. 27 at the Grace University Triangular. Dakota Wesleyan's home opener is 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 30 vs. Mount Marty at the Corn Palace.
