DWU men’s soccer notches shutout win

Matthew Campbell recorded his first clean sheet of the season, helping the Dakota Wesleyan University men’s soccer team take down York (Neb.), 2-0, on Tuesday at the Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex.

Campbell saved six shots for the Tigers as York out-shot them 16-8.

Julian Mole was able to break the scoreless tie at the 78 minute, 8 second mark for DWU, with Isaias Pio, who assisted on Mole’s goal, scoring two minutes later. Mole finished with two of DWU’s four shots on goal.

DWU (1-2-1) plays Upper Iowa at 2 p.m. Saturday in Fayette, Iowa.
