Jamestown (N.D.) came out on top of a high-scoring affair against the Dakota Wesleyan University men’s soccer team on Tuesday. The Jimmies notched a 4-3 win over the Tigers at the Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex in Great Plains Athletic Conference play.
Ndrin Maloku scored the game’s first goal to give DWU a 1-0 lead, but Jaymee Kambel netted two goals within five minutes of each other to hand Jamestown a 2-1 advantage. Joel Sanchez tied the match before Kambel completed his first-half hat trick to send the game into halftime, 3-2.
Maloku netted his second goal in the second half. However, Luis Zepeda scored the game-winner for Jamestown.
Jamestown held a 9-4 advantage in shots on goal. Matthew Campbell saved five shots for the Tigers.
DWU (2-6-1, 1-5-1 GPAC) plays Midland (Neb.) at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Fremont, Nebraska.
