SIOUX CENTER, Iowa -- Led by Matthew Campbell’s seven saves in net, the Dakota Wesleyan University men’s soccer team picked up its first Great Plains Athletic Conference win of the season on Wednesday. The Tigers notched a 2-0 win over Dordt (Iowa).
Campbell earned seven saves to keep a clean sheet, despite Dordt holding a 20-19 advantage in shots.
DWU’s Carson Fox and Ndrin Maloku broke the scoreless tie by each scoring in the second half. The Tigers had eight shots on goal.
DWU (2-2, 1-1 GPAC) plays Concordia (Neb.) at 8 p.m. Saturday in Seward, Nebraska.
