The Dakota Wesleyan University men’s soccer team’s comeback fell short on Saturday in a 2-1 loss to Hastings (Neb.) at the Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex.
DWU’s Ndrin Maloku scored with less than 10 minutes to play, but Hastings scored in both the first and second half to build a two-goal lead. It held a 23-6 advantage in shots. Malouku’s goal was DWU’s only shot on goal. Matthew Campbell saved nine shots in the loss.
DWU (1-2) plays Dordt (Iowa) at 7:15 p.m. on Sept. 30 in Sioux Center, Iowa.
