CRETE, Neb. -- Dakota Wesleyan University surrendered two goals to Doane in the first 20 minutes on Saturday and could not recover.
Andrew Browning put the Tigers on the board in the 31st minute, but DWU could not produce any more offense in the game as Doane secured a 3-1 Great Plains Athletic Conference men’s soccer win.
Markus Pieper notched the first two goals for Doane (3-11, 2-5-1 GPAC), to halt any hopes of a DWU comeback.
The loss extended a five-match losing skid and an eight-match winless streak for the Tigers.
Matthew Campbell made five saves in goal for Dakota Wesleyan (2-10-3, 1-8-1 GPAC), which concludes the regular season against Concordia at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 2 at the Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex.
