ABERDEEN-The Dakota Wesleyan University volleyball team snapped a three-match losing streak on Tuesday with a four-set win over Presentation College. It wasn't an easy win, however, as the Tigers dropped the first set before rattling off three in a row, 23-25, 25-22, 25-18 and 25-21.
Rebecca Frick had a huge night for DWU, with a match-high 21 kills and a team-high 29 digs, while Bridgett Knobbe dished out 37 assists and came up with 11 digs. Wagner native Emily Brunsing pitched in 12 kills and Mallory Cooper had a team-high 25 digs. Bon Homme alum Sierra Mesman also added 13 digs in the win.
DWU was strong at the net, coming up with 11 blocks as a team to help force 32 hitting errors and a .085 attack percentage by Presentation.
Joely Roe had a match-high 44 digs in the loss, while Olivia Stet had 11 kills and 14 digs. Jade Gallagher also added 13 kills for the Saints.
Dakota Wesleyan (14-11) is back in action on Wednesday with a Great Plains Athletic Conference match at Jamestown. Presentation (10-13) hosts Dakota State on Friday.
