DWU golf begins GPAC fall qualifier

SIOUX FALLS -- Dakota Wesleyan University kicked off the two-day Great Plains Athletic Conference fall qualifier with a 10th-place finish in the 11-team field at Willow Run Golf Course on Monday.

SIOUX FALLS -- Dakota Wesleyan University kicked off the two-day Great Plains Athletic Conference fall qualifier with a 10th-place finish in the 11-team field at Willow Run Golf Course on Monday.

The first day concluded with the Tigers shooting a 321, which was 11 shots better than last place Mount Marty. Northwestern shot par on the day and leads the field.

Nolan Wiegel paved the way for DWU as he shot par to put him in sixth. He shot four birdies on the front nine. Jayden Engels shot an 81 and Justice Morrison carded an 82 to place 42nd and 45th, respectively.

Play continues today at Willow Run Golf Course.
