The Dakota Wesleyan University football team added a new coach to its staff on Tuesday, hiring Alex Foster as its linebackers coach and special teams coordinator.
Foster began his coaching career at DWU while in graduate school, coaching the defensive line for two seasons. He later was an assistant linebackers coach at South Dakota State University and spent the last two seasons as a linebackers and special teams coach at Minnesota State University Moorhead.
He has coached six all-conference players during his time at DWU and MSUM.
"I am excited about the opportunity to rejoin Coach Cimpl and his staff at Dakota Wesleyan University," Foster said. "Ross runs his program the right way and has high expectations for his players both on and off the field. I look forward to helping him continue this standard while also helping raise the program to new heights."
