Ten Dakota Wesleyan University athletes were National Scholar Athlete award winners for fall sports.

Athletes must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.

Tiger athletes earning the honor are men's soccer players Bryce Berletic (3.68), Sterling Hubbard (3.68), Travis Moodie (4.0), Tyson Moodie (3.93), Zach Schneider (3.85) and Jon Weiger (3.84); women's soccer players Thara Ali Said (3.81) and Kylie Keiser (3.67); volleyball player Mackenzie Stevens (3.52); and cross country runner Haley Brunke (4.0).

The members of the Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete Football Team will be announced later this month.

Horner to play golf at DWU

Sioux Falls Washington senior Rachael Horner signed recently to play golf at Dakota Wesleyan University.

Last season, Horner had an average stroke of 95 as a junior.

Cahoy signs with DWU women's soccer team

Tea Area midfielder/defender Kennedy Cahoy recently signed to play soccer with the Dakota Wesleyan University women's team.

Cahoy was an all-state first-team selection this fall and led Tea Area (5-6-1).
