The Dakota Wesleyan University baseball team dropped a pair of Great Plains Athletic Conference games against Dordt College on Friday at Cadwell Park in Mitchell.
Dordt won the first game 12-2 and outlasted the Tigers 3-2 in 12 innings in the second game.
In game two, Partick Whetham earned a no decision, allowing one earned run off five hits with 11 strikeouts in 8 1/3 innings pitched. Will Lutjen took the loss for DWU, while Cole Wenande added two hits and run in the loss.
In game one, Dustin Steckler took the loss for DWU. Steckler allowed eight runs off nine hits in six innings pitched. Dominic Sebastiani had a solo home run for the Tigers in the loss.
The Tigers (23-25, 7-11 GPAC) were originally scheduled to play Mount Marty College on Saturday, but due to impending weather, DWU will visit MMC for their final GPAC doubleheader of the season at 3 p.m. Sunday in Yankton.
