Dakota Wesleyan University wrestler Trevor DeVestern was named the Great Plains Athletic Conference wrestler of the week on Tuesday.
DeVestern, a fifth-year senior, tied the school record for all-time wins after going 5-2 at the Luther Hill Invitational on Saturday in Indianola, Iowa. He is currently tied with Jordan Harer with 105 wins at DWU.
DeVestern, who is 6-2 this season, is ranked third in the NAIA at 165 pounds and competes against Morningside College on Jan. 7 in Mitchell.
