GREGORY -- Dawson Hoffman edged Platte-Geddes teammate Brody Boltjes via tiebreaker in the Burke/Gregory golf tournament championship Friday at Gregory Golf Club.
Hoffman and Boltjes both finished 18 holes with an 80, but Hoffman picked up the win after shooting a 38 on the final nine holes, including a 12 on the final three holes. Hoffman posted a 42 on the back nine.
Gregory’s Eli Fogel was also in the hunt, finishing one stroke off the lead to place third. Meanwhile, Burke’s Bryce Frank was fourth with an 85 and Gregory’s Trey Murray rounded out the top-five with an 86.
Burke’s Adisyn Indahl shot an 86 to win the girls championship, finishing three strokes ahead of Bon Homme’s Makayla Kelley. Indahl was two strokes off the lead heading into the back nine, but posted a 41 to win.
Scotland/Menno’s Rylee Conrad was third after shooting a 93, while Gregory’s Jessy Jo VanDerWerff was fourth with a 94. Avon’s McKenna Kocmich placed fifth with a 97.
