Dakota Wesleyan wins third-straight volleyball match as they take down Hastings

The Tigers improve to 19-5

The Dakota Wesleyan volleyball team took down its eighth Great Plains Athletic Conference opponent this season, in straight sets at the Christen Family Athletic Center on Oct. 15.

The No. 15 Tigers (19-5, 8-3 GPAC) defeated Hastings by set scores of 25-22, 25-21 and 25-17.

DWU’s Ady Dwight had 16 of the team's 51 kills, hit .533 and committed zero errors, to lead the Tigers in the victory. Mackenzie Miller had 11 kills while Mariah Gloe had nine kills and 15 digs. Abigail Brunsing finished with eight kills and Taylee Indahl finished with seven kills.

Madeline Else had 44 assists and 12 digs of her own, while Hanna Reiff had a match-high 17 digs. Tya Weideman also added 10 digs, respectively.

Miriam Miller had 11 kills and 11 digs for the Broncos. Jaisee Stinson added 17 assists and Ava Lovitt had 11 digs.

DWU has six matches remaining in the regular season, five being GPAC opponents.

The Tigers host No. 23 Doane at 3 p.m. Saturday, at the Christen Family Athletic Center.
