Corsica-Stickney sweeps Scotland Invite

SCOTLAND - It was a clean sweep for the Corsica-Stickney boys and girls track and field teams at the Scotland Invitational on Tuesday.

The Jaguar boys ran away with the team title with 155 points, while the girls were tops with 101 points. Canistota's boys were second with 80 points, while Bon Homme was third with 67 points. In the girls team competition, Hanson was second with 80 points and Bon Homme was third with 69 points.

For the C-S boys, Bryce Plamp won the 400 in 55.98 seconds, while Hunter Johnson won the 800 in 2:11.27. Bon Homme's Chase Kortan was a triple winner with wins in the 100 (11.32), 200 (23.65) and long jump (20-11.25). Canistota's Xavier Ward broke a meet record in the shot put, throwing 53 feet, 11 inches for the event victory.

On the girls side, Scotland's Taylor Gall was a double winner, finishing first in the 300 hurdles in 53.4 seconds and winning the pole vault with a jump of 8 feet, 3 inches. Hanson was a winner in three relays, winning the 4x100 (54.40), 4x400 (4:28.14) and 1,600 medley (4:43.81).
