BROOKINGS, S.D. — South Dakota State University will host a public national championship celebration at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10 following the Jackrabbits' FCS title on Sunday.
The celebration will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., and no admission will be charged.
The half-hour program will feature remarks from team and university personnel, as well as performances by the SDSU Spirit Squad.
The Jackrabbits (14-1) won the national title on Sunday in Frisco, Texas, with a 45-21 victory over rival North Dakota State.
South Dakota State rushed for 283 yards at a clip of better than 7.4 yards per carry, led by the three-headed attack of running backs Amar Johnson and Isaiah Davis and quarterback Mark Gronowski.
