MITCHELL — Dakota Wesleyan’s Ady Dwight made it two weeks in a row that she earned Great Plains Athletic Conference honors.
Dwight followed up winning the GPAC and NAIA attacker of the week last week by being tabbed the GPAC attacker of the week once again. During the Tigers’ 2-0 week, Dwight tallied 43 kills and hit .340.
Against Dakota State, she had a match-high 24 kills in the five-set win, hitting .258. She followed that up with a 19-kill showing in a straight-set sweep on Mount Marty where she hit .500. She also added 12 blocks during the two matches.
Dwight is now up to 397 kills, which is tied for the lead in all of NAIA, and her 4.73 kills per set are second in the country.
DWU is currently ranked as the No. 10 team in the country at 18-4 and is riding a six-match winning streak. The Tigers next action comes Wednesday, Oct. 19 on the road against Briar Cliff.
