VERMILLION, S.D. — Suffocating defense helped the University of South Dakota women’s basketball team roll past Omaha 61-35 on Thursday in Summit League action.
The Coyotes forced 23 turnovers and held Omaha to 26.7% shooting from the field.
USD (19-5 overall, 12-1 Summit) got a team-high 11 points from Chloe Lamb, while Liv Korngable and Hannah Sjerven each had nine points.

Omaha’s Mariah Murdie had a team-high eight points and Alexis Pratt had six rebounds.
USD plays next at 1 p.m. Saturday in Vermillion against Denver in the Coyotes’ annual pink game.
