MITCHELL — The Dakota Wesleyan University basketball teams have made a schedule change due to the snow.
Both the men’s and women’s basketball squads have pushed their games with Briar Cliff back a day to Thursday, Jan 5. The contests were originally scheduled to be played on Wednesday, Jan. 4, but will now tip off a day later.
The women’s game will tip off at 6 p.m. from the Corn Palace, with the men’s game slated to get started at 7:45 p.m. also at the Palace.
It is the second time this season that snow has wiped out a DWU basketball doubleheader. The Tigers' road doubleheader at Northwestern, previously scheduled for Dec. 15, has been moved to Jan. 30.
The DWU men are 7-7 and 3-3 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference, while the Briar Cliff men are 8-6 but 2-5 in the GPAC. The DWU women are ranked No. 21 in the country at 10-3 and 5-2 in the GPAC, while the Chargers are ranked No. 22 and sit at 10-4 and 6-2 in the conference.
