SIOUX FALLS - Augustana College lost its season finale to Southwest Minnesota State 34-24 Saturday in Sioux Falls.
The loss for the Vikings (4-7) was the first to the Mustangs (7-4) since 1991, which included a string of 15 wins for Augustana.
Viking quarterback Trey Heid completed a career-high 31 passes for 300 yards and a touchdown. Heid also ran for 43 yards on 12 carries.
Running back C.J. Ham gained just 16 yards on six carries, but found the end zone twice for the Vikings.
Mustang quarterback Charlie Kern finished with 233 yards on 22-of-30 passing and four touchdowns in the win.

The game ended the regular season for the Vikings nad Mustangs.
University of Sioux Falls 35, Wayne State 10
WAYNE, Neb. - The University of Sioux Falls football team topped Wayne State in the Egg Bowl 35-10 in the regular season finale for both teams Saturday in Wayne, Neb.
The win secures a winning season for the Cougars at 6-5, after a 9-2 season a year prior.
Former wide receiver Carrington Hanna was back under center for the Cougars, with starting quarterback Luke Papilion sidelined with an injury.
Hanna finished with 162 yards on 17-of-32 passing and a touchdown, while rushing for 51 yards on 11 carries en route to being named the most valuable player of the Egg Bowl.
With starting running back Nephi Garcia also out with an injury, redshirt freshman Brady Rose ran for a career-high 111 yards on 15 carries and found the end zone twice.
The victory secured the 20th straight winning season for USF.

Minnesota-Duluth 39, Northern State 7
ABERDEEN - Minnesota-Duluth spoiled senior day for Northern State, as the Bulldogs topped the Wolves 39-7 Saturday in Aberdeen.
The No. 5 Bulldogs racked up 468 total yards of offense, while holding NSU to just 205 yards.
The Wolves scored the first points of the contest after recovering a fumble and marching 87 yards for their only points of the contest. The drive included a 79-yard catch and run by Terrelle Walker.
Wolves’ quarterback Jared Jacobson finished with 166 yards on 11-for-29 passing and one interception. Jacobson also ran for 25 yards and scored the lone NSU touchdown on a six-yard run.
UMD was led by Austin Sikorski with 129 yards on the ground and a score.
With the loss, the Wolves ended the season with a record of 4-7.
Black Hills State 17, Fort Lewis 14

DURANGO, Colo. - Christian Parr hit a 34-yard field goal in the fourth quarter to give Black Hills State University its second win of the season, topping Fort Lewis 17-14 Saturday in Durango, Colo.
The Yellow Jackets (2-7) won despite being outgained on offense 392 to 279 by Fort Lewis.
Fort Lewis scored the first 14 points of the game, before BHSU scored 17 unanswered.
The Yellow Jackets were led on offense by Drew Nielson, who finished with 78 yards rushing on 23 carries. Harrison Dollins rushed for 25 yards and a score in the win.
Dollins also intercepted a Fort Lewis pass late in the first half and returned it 83 yards for a touchdown.
The Yellow Jackets will conclude their season in a make-up game with Western State at 1 p.m. Saturday in Spearfish.
