WAGNER - The wrestling season got off to a solid start for Bon Homme/Scotland on Thursday night, topping Wagner in a dual 48-28.

The Cavaliers got pins from Zach Sykora (132 pounds), Alex Caba (145), Josh Crownover (160), Kade Helimaan (170), Tanner Iwan (195) and Alan Haataja (220).

Cole Soulek picked up a pin in 25 seconds for the Red Raiders at 182 pounds, while Truman Ashes won a tight 2-0 match over Kreg Kepplinger at 285 pounds. Lance Soukup earned bonus points for Wagner at 106 pounds, with a major decision victory.

Bon Homme/Scotland is at the Canton Duals Saturday, while Wagner is at the Kimball/White Lake/Platte-Geddes tournament Saturday in Kimball.
