Raquel Sutera and April Winne chipped in to help the Mount Marty women's basketball team top Dakota State University on Dec. 17 in Madison.

Sutera, a Tabor native, scored 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds for the Lancers. Winne, a native of Olivet, added 12 points and four assists. DSU's Kennedy Wagner, a Chamberlain native, went 2-of-2 from the free throw line in the loss.

Mount Marty won two contests at the Las Vegas Hoopla over the weekend to improve to 10-6 overall. The Lancers, who are 2-6 in the GPAC, beat Hanover College and University of Northwestern Ohio in Las Vegas.

Neises wins for Vikings

Augustana College senior Bradyn Neises earned a win in the No. 16 Vikings' 31-15 win over Chadron State on Saturday in Chadron, Neb.

The Howard native won by a 9-5 decision over Chance Helmick in the 165-pound weight class.

The Vikings, which are 5-1 in duals, host Concordia-Moorhead at 4 p.m. on Jan. 3 at the Elmen Center in Sioux Falls.
