Chamberlain native and Drake University's Hudson Priebe won the 400-meter hurdles at the Jim Duncan Invitational last Saturday in Des Moines, Iowa.

Priebe won the race with a time of 52.96 seconds. Priebe's finish led to a Drake sweep of the top three spots as teammates Dominic Lombardi and Malik Metivier finished second and third, respectively.

Priebe also placed third in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.32.

The Bulldogs will compete at the Musco Twilight meet in Iowa City, Iowa, on Saturday.

Lickteig, Wyoming place 8th at Cowboy Classic

Freeman graduate and University of Wyoming golfer Arron Lickteig recently finished eighth at the Cowboy Classic at the Whirlwind Golf Course in Chandler, Arizona.

The Cowboys shot an 870 (+6) to place eighth. UC Santa Barbara secured the team title with a final score of 843 (-21), 11 strokes ahead of second-place Kansas.

Lickteig carded an even-par 72 in the final round and tied for 31st. He shot a 71 and a 75 in the first two rounds.

The Cowboys will compete in the Mountain West Championships in Tucson, Arizona, Friday through Sunday.

Wagner, Winckler tie for 8th at Doane

Logan Wagner (Parkston) and Kellie Winckler (Lake Andes) tied for eighth at the Kaitlyn Erickson Invite at Doane College on Tuesday.

The Mount Marty College golfers shot 82's at the meet. The Lancers finished second as a team with a 350.

Mount Marty will play at the Siouxland Invite in Sioux Center, Iowa, on Friday.
