Bray sisters power DWU past College of Saint Mary

OMAHA, Neb.-The No. 9 Dakota Wesleyan University women's basketball team had the College of Saint Mary seeing double on Saturday.

Twin sisters-Amber and Ashley Bray-combined for 37 points and DWU defeated the Flames 68-29 in a Great Plains Athletic Conference game in Omaha, Nebraska. DWU improves to 15-3 overall and 7-2 in league play.

Amber Bray recorded 22 points and five rebounds, while Ashley Bray added 15 points and six boards. Amber Bray also went 4-for-5 at the 3-point line.

The Tigers led 20-12 after the first quarter, but began to wear on the Flames (2-15, 1-8 GPAC) after that. The Tigers gave up just 17 points for the remainder of the game. Rylie Osthus added eight points, six rebounds and three assists for the Tigers.

DWU is now in a three-way tie with Hastings College and Northwestern College for second place in the league. The teams are all 7-2 in the GPAC. Concordia University is No. 1 in the conference with a 9-0 mark.

The Tigers play at Northwestern College on Wednesday in Orange City, Iowa.
