Dakota Wesleyan University women's basketball player Amber Bray was named the Great Plains Athletic Conference player of the week on Tuesday.

Bray had 18 points and nine rebounds in DWU's 92-77 win over No. 15 Morningside last week. She finished with 16 points and 13 rebounds for a double-double in an 86-52 win over College of Saint Mary on Sunday.

The Anoka, Minnesota native was also named the GPAC player of the week for Week 7 (Jan 1-6). DWU (24-4, 15-3 GPAC) plays No. 9 Northwestern at 6 p.m. today at the Corn Palace.
