SIOUX FALLS-Both Mitchell Marlins boys bantam hockey teams took third place at the state tournament.
The Marlins bantam "A" team beat Watertown 6-3 on Sunday in Yankton, while the Marlin bantam "B" team downed Watertown 3-0 on Sunday in Sioux Falls.
In Sioux Falls, Kaden Jerke scored two goals and added one assist, while Xavier Blackwell scored a goal for the Marlins "B" team. Austin Slaybaugh and Taylor Feteri each had assists for Mitchell.
The Marlins outshot Watertown 28-15 and Mitchell goalie Jeremy Long had 15 saves in the shutout win.
On Saturday, Mitchell fell to Sioux Center 2-0 and, on Friday, the Marlins beat Sioux Falls 4-2.

Brookings beat Sioux Center 5-4 to win the eight-team tournament.
In the bantam "A" tournament, Mitchell's Austin Kerr scored two goals and had two assists in the Marlins' 6-3 win over Watertown. Peyton Nash, Derrick Goldammer, Josh Grosdidier and Eric Biggerstaff each had goals, while Nash added two assists and Grosdidier added an assist.
Marlin goalie Nathan Zimmerman had 29 saves in the win for Mitchell.
On Friday, Mitchell beat Oahe 7-0. On Saturday, the Marlins fell to Brookings 3-2.
