Mount Vernon/Plankinton sophomore Emilee Fox took to Twitter on Thursday to announce her commitment to play college basketball at South Dakota State University following her prep career.

The 5-foot-8 guard, who got her first varsity action as a seventh grader, was a a member of the Class A all-state first team as a freshman in 2020-21 and the second team as an eighth grader. She averaged 19.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 3.3 steals last season while shooting 51 percent overall and knocking down 60 3-pointers.

Fox picked the Jackrabbits after having scholarship offers from Nebraska, South Dakota and Wisconsin-Green Bay.

Fox is the second South Dakota guard to commit this week to the Jackrabbit women's basketball program. Sioux Falls O'Gorman standout Mahli Abdouch announced her verbal commitment to SDSU on Oct. 4.
