OMAHA, Neb. -- The Dakota Wesleyan University women’s basketball team won its fourth straight game on Sunday. The Tigers cruised past College of St. Mary (Neb.) for a 79-47 Great Plains Athletic Conference win.

DWU took a 19-14 lead at the end of the first quarter, and then started to pull away from the Flames. It held the Flames to seven points in the second quarter, helping it build a 35-21 halftime lead.

Led by Tripp native Matti Reiner and Alexandria native Jada Campbell each scoring 17 points, the Tigers scored 25 points in the third quarter to extend their lead. Campbell also pulled in nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, the Flames shot 24.6 percent and 2-for-13 from 3-point range. DWU recorded seven steals, including Kaylee Kirk and Rynn Osthus each having two steals.

DWU shot 45.7 percent from the field and connected on 8 of 17 3s in the win. Osthus had an 11-point, 10-rebound double-double, while Haidyn Pitsch scored 10 points. Haylee Mork drilled a trio of 3-pointers for nine points off the bench. Kirk dished out 10 assists and grabbed five rebounds. Salem native Natalie Gottlob hauled in a team-best 14 boards off the bench.

Honnah Leo scored a team-high 11 points for the Flames.

DWU (9-5, 7-5 GPAC) plays Northwestern (Iowa) at 6 p.m. Wednesday in Orange City, Iowa.
