Zane Alm scored a career-high 28 points as the Kernels advanced to their first state tournament since 2012.

The Kernels held Aberdeen Central to a season-low 42 points in the regular-season finale.

The Kernels were held to season-lows in points (44) and field goal percentage (38.6) as Pierre's Lincoln Kienholz made a layup with 30 seconds to play to win.
Jan. 28: Mitchell 64, Brookings 42
Lucas Moller scored eight third-quarter points to spark an 11-0 run as the Kernels pulled away from Brookings for their 10th win.
Jan. 22: Mitchell 68, Watertown 58
Mitchell capitalized on its size advantage to shoot 68% in the second half to top the Arrows.
Jan. 19: Mitchell 70, Brandon Valley 47
The Kernels shot nearly 62% and placed four players in double figures to lock down the Lynx.

Caden Hinker tallied 21 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists as the Kernels outscored the Tigers 30-13 in the second half.

Gavyn Degen and Steele Morgan combined for 24 points off the bench to beat the Bolts.
The Kernels held the Camels to 19 points in the second half to erase 10-point halftime hole.

Zane Alm scored a career-high 27 points and Jonah Schmidt's blocked shot at the buzzer preserves a 4-0 start.
