SEWARD, Neb. -- A pair of seniors took turns leading Dakota Wesleyan University to a win over Concordia on Saturday.

Ty Hoglund scored 15 of his 16 points in the first half to give the No. 6 Tigers a lead and Nick Harden scored 19 of his game-high 25 points in the second half to pull away for a 77-57 Great Plains Athletic Conference win.

DWU (8-1, 4-1 GPAC) shot 57.7 percent from the field in the first half, but committed 10 turnovers, which allowed the Bulldogs to keep the halftime hole at 35-31 in what was a battle of one-loss teams..

In the second half, the Tigers continued to shoot at a torrid pace, finishing at 56.9 percent for the game. It was Harden in particular that added a hot hand, shooting 8 of 14 in the final 20 minutes, while reeling in five of his seven rebounds. Tristan Teichmeier also got into the mix, scoring 10 of his 13 points in the second half. Tyson Smiley pitched in 15 points and five boards.

While Harden picked up the scoring slack, Hoglund immersed himself into other areas of the game, finishing with 11 rebounds and five assists.

Brevin Sloup led Concordia (7-2, 2-2 GPAC) with 12 points, while Justin Wiersema pitched in 10 as the Bulldogs shot 22 of 61 overall and 6 of 32 from 3-point range.

DWU hosts Valley City State at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Corn Palace.
