Hanson graduate Jada Campbell is among the NAIA Division II leading rebounders.
The Presentation College sophomore center is collecting 13.14 rebounds per game, which is No. 2 in NAIA Division II. She’s grabbed 92 rebounds through seven games for the Saints.
She was also recently named the North Star Athletic Association women's basketball player of the week.
Campbell posted a double-double in the 72-61 setback against Minnesota-Morris, with 16 points and 15 rebounds. It was Campbell's fifth double-double of the season. Campbell also ranks in the top-10 in blocks per game (2.4) and total blocks (17).
The Saints will host Dakota Wesleyan on Dec. 2 in Aberdeen.
Scott swims into Augie record books
Mitchell graduate and Augustana University freshman Cailey Scott has already etched her name into the school record books.
She set a new school record in the 200-yard backstroke and placed third at the Augustana Invitational, helping the Vikings place fourth with 894 points. She finished the event in 2:04.86.
The former Mitchell Aquatic Club swimmer also took third in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:51.29.
The Vikings will host Southwest Minnesota State on Jan. 11.
Gustafson helps Dordt start 9-1
Ethan graduate Karly Gustafson is making an early impression with the Dordt College women’s basketball team.
The reserve forward has played in all 10 games for the Defenders and is second on the team with 10.3 points per game. She’s also leading the team in rebounding per game (6.7). She’s also posted 21 steals, 10 assists and four blocked shots.
She’s scored double figures in three of the last four games, including a season-high 23 points on Nov. 20 against Northwestern College.
No. 5 Dordt College (9-1, 3-1 GPAC) will host Dakota State on Tuesday.
