SEATTLE - The Seattle Storm announced on Wednesday that the team has waived four players, including Mitchell native Macy Miller.
Miller, the Storm's 2019 third-round selection, appeared in both preseason games. The two-time Summit League Player of the Year led the scoring efforts off the Storm's bench in its preseason game vs. the Los Angeles Sparks with eight points in 14 minutes.
Miller was the 36th overall - and final - selection in the WNBA Draft in April after leading the Jackrabbits to their first-ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16. Miller was honored as the Summit League Player of the Year during both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons. Her 2,355 career points stand as SDSU and Summit League records.
Seattle also waived Teana Muldrow, Presley Hudson and Recee' Caldwell on Wednesday. WNBA teams were required to cut rosters down to 12 players by Thursday.
The Storm tips off its 20th season on Saturday hosting the Phoenix Mercury.
