The accolades for Class A girls basketball state champion Winner continued to roll in on Monday as the Warriors saw three players get named first-team all-Southeastern South Dakota Conference.
Morgan Hammerbeck, Bella Swedlund and Gabriel Kocer were selected after Winner raced to a 7-0 record in conference play. Katlyn Briggs also made the team thanks to a conference-best 62.3 percent shooting for second-place Mount Vernon/Plankinton, while Chamberlain's Mady Handel rounded out the first team after leading the conference in scoring at 17.1 points per game.
Another Warrior, Kalla Bertram, was selected to the second team, along with eighth-graders Jessy Jo VanDerWerff (Gregory) and Emma Yost (Parkston). MVP seventh-grader Emilee Fox and Wagner's Kayli Kocer also garnered second-team honors.
Chamberlain's Hannah Anderson, the SESD's leading rebounder McKenzie Carson (Bon Homme), Abby Brunsing (Wagner) and Hailey Walz (MVP) comprised the third team.
