SIOUX FALLS -- Landon Soulek’s no-hitter allowed Mitchell Black to score a sweep of Sioux Falls Post 15 West in a teener baseball twin bull on Sunday.
Mitchell blanked Sioux Falls 2-0 in the first game and followed with a 9-6 win in the second game.
Soulek allowed only four walks in seven innings and struck out seven to earn the no-hitter in seven innings of work in Game 1. Tyler Sanderson went 2-for-4 with an RBI, while Hudson Borgan, Esten Schlimgen and Parker Mandel all had two hits. A.J. Wilber drove in a run.
In Game 2, Sioux Falls scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth, but Mitchell (18-24) was able to hold off the rally. Mandel went 3-for-4 with an RBI, while Mason Herman had two RBIs. Borgan and Wilber both had two hits.
Mandel allowed three earned runs on three hits and five walks, while striking out five in five innings on the mound.
