PARKSTON -- Bon Homme/Avon scored three runs in the seventh inning and edged Parkston/Ethan/Tripp, 4-3, in high school baseball action on Friday.
Bon Homme/Avon’s Landon Bares went 2 of 3 at the plate, while Kaleb Kubal had its only other hit of the game. Kubal and Logan Winckler each drove in a run.
Carter Uecker earned the win. He scattered five hits, allowed three earned runs and struck out six batters in seven innings.
For Parkston/Ethan/Tripp, Brayden Jervik, Jay Storm, Logan Heidinger, Isaak Bialas and TJ Schmidt each collected one hit.
Max Scott took the loss. He allowed one hit and three runs over one-third of an inning, striking out one and walking one.
Ty Neugebauer started the first six innings, allowing one run on two hits and striking out seven.

CANOVA -- Howard racked up seven runs in each of the first two innings and coasted to a three-inning high school baseball win over Webster Area on Friday.
Jaxon Kampshoff jolted the offense with a three-run homer in the first inning. Riley Genzlinger, Jace Sifore and Karsyn Feldhaus drove in two runs apiece. Samuel Callies, Jevyn Sifore and Ryder Erickson each had hits.
Luke Koespell earned the win after striking out eight batters, allowing zero hits and zero runs.
