ST. PAUL — Looking to meet the newest Twin?

You’ll have your chance this weekend. Newly-signed third baseman Josh Donaldson, the Twins’ $92 million dollar man, is one of more than 50 current, former and future players scheduled to appear at the team’s annual fan convention this weekend at Target Field.

Other new additions expected to be in attendance this weekend include catcher Alex Avila, reliever Tyler Clippard and pitcher Rich Hill. While Nelson Cruz and Byron Buxton are two notable absences, most of the team’s 40-man roster is scheduled to appear, including Max Kepler, Mitch Garver, Jake Odorizzi, Jorge Polanco and Eddie Rosario.

Though TwinsFest has been trimmed from three days to two this year, the Twins are packing plenty into the two-day time frame. The event will kick off on Friday at 4 p.m. and go through 9 p.m. It’s an all-day event on Saturday, lasting from 9 a.m. through 6 p.m.

Fans can participate in a silent auction, tour the clubhouse and park, pick up memorabilia, head to the free player photo sessions, get autographs, listen to players and coaches on the broadcast stage or watch events like “Player Feud,” “Tattle Tales” and Pictionary.

On Friday night, fans have their chance to interact with the Twins’ top decision-makers as television game announcer Dick Bremer hosts a fan question-and-answer session from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. with owner Jim Pohlad, team president Dave St. Peter and president of baseball operations Derek Falvey. On Saturday, radio announcer Cory Provus will host a Q&A with Pohlad, St. Peter and general manager Thad Levine.

New this year, the Twins will introduce BombaLand, what they are dubbing as an “immersive and interactive exhibit and home run experience” to pay tribute to last year’s prolific home-run-hitting team. The 2019 Twins set a single-season home-run record, hitting 307 to edge out the Yankees, who finished with 306. BombaLand will feature memorabilia from last season, a virtual reality home run derby, a raffle opportunity and more.

Also new this year, fans can participate in The Great Escape, designed by Lock & Key Escape Rooms, which will be located outside of Bat & Barrel.

Tickets for TwinsFest can still be purchased online, with a general-admission ticket available for $25. A full schedule of events and list of activities can be found on the team’s official website at
