Salem jumped out to a five-run lead on Sunday, then held on for a 6-2 Cornbelt League win in seven innings over Lennox.

Brian Duxbury and Kohl Miller both hit two-RBI doubles to spark Salem's 5-0 lead after three innings. Isaac Anderson scored on a wild pitch for the Cubs' final run.

Cole Cheeseman, who went 2-for-4, and David Novak each hit a double for Salem, too. Novak and Cory Struck, who also drove in a run, each had a two-hit game. Salem recorded nine hits as a team.

On the mound, Tyler Earls struck out seven batters in a complete-game effort. He allowed two earned runs on three hits and two walks.
