PARKSTON-Alexandria did most of its damage in the final three innings to earn an 8-5 Legion baseball win over Parkston on Sunday.

The Angels scored seven of their runs in the final three frames to comeback from a 5-1 deficit. Reggie Slaba, Peyton Schroeder and Trey Christensen each finished with two hits for Alexandria, which had 11 as a team. Christensen knocked in a pair of runs. Jonah Hofer, Austin Stoltz, Blake Klinkhammer, Joey Feiner and Craig Lasley each added a hit. Lasley picked up the win. He struck out three batters and gave up one hit in 2.2 innings of relief.

Sutton Hohn led Parkston's offense with three hits, including a solo home run in the second inning.

Chamberlain 6, McCook/Minor 4

CHAMBERLAIN-Chamberlain scored all its runs in the first inning and hung on for a two-run Legion baseball win over McCook/Minor at the Mid Dakota Wood Bat Classic on Saturday.

Drayton Priebe led Chamberlain with three hits and one RBI. Riggs Priebe added two hits, while Jake Mutzinger, Caden Lenz, Remington Rossow, Dakota Munger, Elye White Mouse and Gavin Saxton each had a hit. Munger knocked in two runs. Max Donovan earned the win. He gave up seven hits, four runs (three earned) and struck out two batters in the complete-game outing.

Sam Gillespie finished with two runs and two RBIs for McCook/Minor. Colin Kolbeck and Kalub Carmichael each added two hits. Kyle Tuschen and Jacob Cheeseman each had two hits, while Cheeseman drove in two runs. Isaac Feldhaus took the loss. He gave up four hits, six runs and fanned three batters in 4.1 innings.

Chamberlain lost to Dell Rapids 6-0 in its other game on Saturday.

Winner/Colome 11, Clark 0

CHAMBERLAIN-Winner/Colome erupted for eight runs in the second inning to power an 11-0 Legion baseball win over Clark at the Mid Dakota Wood Bat Classic on Saturday.

Winner/Colome finished with 10 hits, with Phillip Jorgensen leading the way with three hits and two RBIs. Shea Connot added two hits, while Joren Bruun, Jackson Kinzer, Oscar Pravecek, Dalton Baker and Layton Thieman each had a hit. Pravecek, Carter Brickman, Baker and Thieman each drove in a run. Brickman earned the win after striking out seven batters and allowing three hits and no runs in four innings.

Tabor drops two in Vermillion

VERMILLION-Tabor Post 183 dropped a pair of Legion games at the 18th Annual Lewis and Clark Classic on Saturday. Tabor lost to Yankton Post 1 4-0 and Lincoln Southeast 11-3.

Against Post 1, Tabor managed just three hits. Tanner Van Driel, Joey Slama and Beau Rothschadl each had a hit. Slama took the loss. He gave up four hits, four runs (two earned) and struck out three batters in four innings.

Against Lincoln Southeast, Tabor was doomed by two straight five-run innings. Tabor finished with five hits. Kaden Kozak, Rothschadl, Van Driel, Josh Schmidt and Zach Cuka each finished with a hit. Mace Merkwan was tagged with the loss after giving up seven hits, 10 runs (six earned) and struck out two batters in 1.2 innings.

Tabor (4-5) hosts Lennox on Wednesday.
