ELK POINT-The Bon Homme/Scotland baseball team didn't allow a run in its two wins on Saturday, defeating Parkston/Ethan/Tripp 7-0 and Elk Point-Jefferson 9-0. P/E/T took down EPJ 5-3, as well.

Christian Uecker struck out 10 and held P/E/T to one hit in a five-inning start for Bon Homme/Scotland. Josh Schmidt went 3-for-3 with four RBIs, while Tyler Kopp, Josh Crownover and Kaden Kozak all recorded a pair of hits. For P/E/T, Nate Doering suffered the loss after giving up five runs (four earned) in 3 1/3 innings.

Against EPJ, Carter Uecker and Riley Rothschadl combined to strike out nine and allow two hits in five innings for Bon Homme/Scotland. Kopp finished with three hits and Schmidt added two, while Crownover drove in a pair of runs.

P/E/T's Landon Sudbeck and Doering both drove in two runs to top EPJ. On the mound, Kade Bialas struck out five and gave up three runs (two earned) in a four-inning start. Sudbeck earned the save.

Bon Homme/Scotland (6-0) plays Beresford/Centerville at 4 p.m. today. P/E/T (3-2) plays Dakota Valley at 4 p.m. today in Parkston.

Howard scores 22 runs in pair of wins

NORTH SIOUX CITY-Oldham-Ramona/Rutland couldn't contain the Howard baseball team's offense on Saturday. As a result, the Tigers swept the doubleheader, winning 12-1 in Game 1 and 10-0 in the second game.

Riley Genzlinger, Isaac Feldhaus and Dale Jackson all recorded two hits for the Tigers, who racked up nine hits and benefited from a 10-run third inning. Kieffer Klinkhammer pitched all five innings, striking out eight and allowing an unearned run on four hits and two walks. Kadyn Gehrels suffered the loss, giving up seven earned runs in a two-inning start for ORR.

Howard jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first inning of Game 2. By the end, Feldhaus, Jackson and Jaxon Kampshoff all had two hits, while Jackson also drove in a pair of runs. Colton Spader and Kampshoff combined to throw a five-inning shutout, striking out seven in the process. Taylor Hojer took the loss after Howard tagged him for nine runs (six earned) in two innings.

Howard (4-2) plays a 2 p.m. doubleheader today against Elkton-Lake Benton in Canova.
