The mid-April arctic blast that blanketed large portions of South Dakota in snow has caused Dakota Wesleyan University to reshuffle its athletic schedules this weekend.
The Tiger baseball team was originally slated to host Great Plains Athletic Conference foe Hastings on Sunday in a doubleheader at Drake Field, but they are now slated to play doubleheaders on Sunday and Monday in Hastings, Nebraska. Times have yet to be announced.
DWU was also slated to host a pair of GPAC softball doubleheaders against Hastings and Doane on today and Sunday, respectively, at McWhirter Field. Instead, the Tigers face Doane in a doubleheader today, beginning at 8 p.m. at the Presentation Dome in Aberdeen. They are also slated to play Hastings in a twin billing Sunday at 11 a.m. in Aberdeen.
