Bridgewater-Emery multi-sport standout Cole Gassman will play baseball at Dakota Wesleyan University.

The Canova native played high school baseball for the Hanson/Bridgewater-Emery Ducks and Legion baseball for McCook/Miner. Gassman was named his Legion team’s Most Valuable Player in 2017.

“We are very excited to welcome Cole to the Tiger baseball family,” DWU coach John Greicar said. “He is a very talented athlete and we anticipate him making an immediate impact on our campus and within our baseball program.”

Gassman was also a four-year starter for the Bridgewater-Emery boys basketball team. He helped the Huskies win the Class B state championship in 2017. Gassman was also an all-state running back for Bridgewater-Emery/Ethan football team in 2016.
