Balanced attack leads Coyote women over Leathernecks

VERMILLION -- Jasmine Trimboli scored 17 points off the bench for the University of South Dakota as the Coyotes defeated Western Illinois 92-81 on Thursday at the Sanford Coyote Sports Center in Vermillion.

VERMILLION - Jasmine Trimboli scored 17 points off the bench for the University of South Dakota as the Coyotes defeated Western Illinois 92-81 on Thursday at the Sanford Coyote Sports Center in Vermillion.

In total, five Coyotes scored in double figures with Jaycee Bradley pouring in 21 points. Kate Liveringhouse had 15 points, Madison McKeever added 14 points and Ciara Duffy tossed in 13 points. For Western Illinois, Taylor Higginbotham had a game-high 28 points.

South Dakota (18-5) remains unbeaten in The Summit League at 9-0 and the Coyotes will host North Dakota State at 1 p.m. on Saturday in Vermillion.
