B-E's Hurd to join Doane golf

BRIDGEWATER - Bridgewater-Emery golfer Autumn Hurd signed a letter of intent Friday to golf at Doane College in Crete, Nebraska.

A senior for the Huskies, Hurd is a three-time state tournament qualifier and has finished in the top-20 in each of the last two tournaments. She finished 17th at both the 2014 and 2015 Class B state tournaments. She's been a three-time team MVP winner for B-E.

Hurd will graduate as valedictorian in her senior class and intends to study pre-medicine at Doane. Her sister, Maisie, is also a GPAC golfer and is currently a freshman at Briar Cliff University.
