MONTROSE -- McCook Central/Montrose topped Howard to finish 3-0 at the McCook Central/Montrose Quad on Tuesday. The Fighting Cougars defeated the Tigers (58-18), Garretson (70-12) and Parker (63-15).
Against Garretson, Will Rotert (160), Elliott Chase (285), Weston Remmers (132), Jackson Remmers (145) and Carter Randall (152) all logged contested wins.
Against Parker, Chase, Weston Remmers, Jackson Remmers and Randall each won contested matches. Kade Grocott (170), Austin Hoiten (195), Isaak Pulse (220), Trystan Traupel (106), Dakota Buck (113), Dylan McGregor (120) and Mason Pulse (160) all won contested matches.
Against Howard, Logan Raap (182), Jacobi Krouse (195), Chase, Traupel, Buck, McGregor, Weston Remmers, Jackson Remmers, Randall and Grocott also earned victories.
Howard’s Karsten Hamilton (132), Lane Miller (145) and John Callies (160) all picked up wins against the Fighting Cougars.
