WAGNER - Kimball/White Lake/Platte-Geddes edged host Wagner by half of a point to win the 17-team Wagner Invite on Saturday in Wagner.

KWLPG finished with 180 points, while Wagner took second with 179.5. Bon Homme/Scotland/Avon finished sixth with 135 points, Parkston took seventh (98), Freeman/Marion finished 10th (47), Mount Vernon/Plankinton/Corsica-Stickney placed 14th (38.5) and Andes Central finished 17th (10).

Two KWLPG wrestlers won their respective weight divisions with Grayson Hanson claiming the 106-pound title over Wagner's Jagger Tyler and Jackson Nockels finished first at 126 pounds. The Red Raiders had nine wrestlers place at the meet with Jace Johnson (220) and Dawson Lensing (285) each finishing first.

BHSA's Kaleb Crownover (138) improved to 27-2 on the season, winning four matches to take the title, while Josh Crownover won at 160. For MVPCS, Thomas Baker (160) placed fourth and Andes Central's Jacob Maynard (285) finished fourth.

Winner finishes fourth at Lee Wolf Invite

ABERDEEN - At the 16-team Lee Wolf Invitational, the Winner wrestling team finished in fourth place with 141.5 points. Canton won the event with 192 points, while Chamberlain took seventh (119).

Twelve Warriors placed in the tournament with Sam Kruger (145 pounds) taking first place.

For the Cubs, Nash Hutmacher (285) remained unbeaten and improved to 33-0 with four wins on Saturday. The Class A defending state champion handed Watertown's Dane Stahl his first loss of the season, earning a 5-0 decision in the heavyweight championship match. Collin Powell (120) also took first at the event, beating Winner's Atlas Willuweit in the title match, while Max Donovan (113) finished second.

Howard, MCM finished second and third at Parker Invite

PARKER - The Howard wrestling team placed second and McCook Central/Montrose took third at the Parker Invite on Saturday in Parker. The Tigers recorded 180 points, while MCM totalled 171.5 and Marshall (Minn.) won the 13-team tournament with 283.5 points.

Lane Miller (106 pounds), Mitch Kramer (170) and Evan Kizer (220) each placed first for Howard. For MCM, Tate Reiner (132), Paul Lauck (145) and Blake Gessner (160) each won titles at the event.

Burke/Gregory takes third in Nebraska tourney

AINSWORTH, Neb. - Burke/Gregory finished in third place out of 13 teams at the Ainsworth Invitational on Saturday in Ainsworth, Nebraska.

Three Storm grapplers placed first, while 11 placed at the tournament. Winning for Burke/Gregory were Rhoss Oliver (195 pounds), Jeremiah Beck (182) and Jackson Eklund (132).
