HOWARD -- The Howard wrestling team picked up three wins at its home quadrangular on Tuesday. The Tigers defeated Marion/Freeman/Freeman Academy/Canistota/Menno (63-12), Sioux Valley (67-3) and Tri-Valley (53-27).

Against Marion/Freeman/Freeman Academy/Canistota/Menno, Howard Karsten Hamilton (126 pounds), Riley Genzlinger (132), Jack Neises (145), Lane Miller (152), John Callies (160) and Ty Beyer (170) all picked up pins. Tate Miller (113) also earned a contested win. Marion/Freeman/Freeman Academy/Canistota/Menno’s Keaton Preheim (120) and Grant Anderson (182) also won via pins.

Against Sioux Valley, Trent Feldhaus (106), Tate Miller (113), Nolan Mentele (120), Genzlinger, Callies and Beyer each won contested matches.

Against Tri-Valley, Genzlinger, Kieffer Klinkhammer (138), Lane Miller and Callies all won contested matches.

BHSA goes 2-0 at home triangular

Tyndall -- Bon Homme/Scotland/Avon swept its home triangular on Tuesday. It took down Pierce (Neb.), 52-44, and then defeated Crofton-Blomfield (Neb.), 44-36.

Against Pierce, BHSA’s Brock Kotalik (106 pounds), Peyton Hellmann (120), Jackson Caba (132), Tyrus Bietz (152), Isaac Crownover (160), Jordan Gall (220) and D.J. Rueb (285) also secured victories.

Against Crofton-Blomfield, Caden Zomer (120), Caba, Tyler Tjeerdsma (132), Jaymison Bjjorum (145), Tyrus Bietz (160), Isaac Crownover (170), Turner Nicholsen (195) and Gall all picked up a win.

MCM knocks off ACDC at West Sioux quad

Hawardeen, Iowa -- McCook Central/Montrose edged West Sioux, Hawarden, Iowa (42-39) on Tuesday at the West Sioux Quad. MCM’s Elliott Chase (285 pounds), Dakota Buck (120), Carter Randall (160), Logan Raap (170) and Austin Hoiten (195) all captured contested matches.

Andes Central/Dakota Christian lost to Elk Point-Jefferson (63-6) and West Sioux, Hawarden, Iowa (72-6). MCM also defeated ACDC, 65-6.

ACDC’s Apollo Weddell recorded a pin against West Sioux Hawarden for its lone win of the event.

Carlin Hopkins (132) also earned a win against MCM. For the Fighting Cougars, Austin Hoiten (105), Isaak Pulse (220) and Elliot Chase (285) picked up wins in the heavyweight. Also, Trystan Traupel (106), Owen Schmidt (113), Buck (120), Dylan McGregor (126) and Jackson Remmers (138) all had wins, along with Randall (145), Logan Rapp (170) and Jacobi Krouse (182).

In MCM’s 55-24 win over Elk Point-Jefferson, Pulse, Chase, Traupel, Schmidt, Buck and McGregor picked up victories. It also saw Remmers, Randall, Krouse and Hoiten earn wins for the Fighting Cougars.
